Just take me to the I-Share Catalog!

I-Share is a cooperative arrangement among 76 libraries providing access to over 10 million bibliographic records provided by CARLI, the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois. Chicago State University is a member of CARLI and I-Share.

I-Share allows you to search for books in any of the member libraries. With a valid CSU ID card, you can physically visit any of these libraries and check out books just as if you were a student there. A list of the I-Share libraries can be found here.

You can also electronically request books from any of these libraries. You will need a current CSU UID number. This number can be found on your CSU ID card.

Follow this procedure to electronically request books from other I-Share libraries.

  1. After you have found your book in I-Share, click on the Request button at the top of the page.
  2. Select your home library as Chicago State University
