Installing ezProxy Configuration Files requires building an ezProxy configuration file then moving it to the appropriate server.

Secure FTP is used as follows to send the file from the database machine to CSU's ezProxy administration area. The latter is set aside as the safe location for the addition of configuration files. A periodically reawakening daemon finds the installed file, moves it to the appropriate location, and restarts the ezProxy server so that the new configuration takes effect. Browsers should then reload to obtain the new configuration.

Command to send the file to the ITD server for restart

sftp setup@bluestem.csu.edu

Enter the password as provided by ITD

> put ezproxy.cfg

> exit

That's it! Within a few minutes the file will be installed and the server restarted.

Test your changes.

Note: The first use of this sftp command may require establishment of a trust document. Say "yes."
