Deleting news items

If you wish to delete items, choose them and click Delete Selected Rows. These can not be retrieved after clicking, so be very careful when selecting items by double checking your selections.

Adding news items

  1. Click Add row to bring up the Table Data page.
  2. You will ignore the itemnumber and whenposted fields. These are supplied automatically and can not be changed.
  3. Enter heading and text data. Optionally add author name(s). Be careful to avoid pasting data directly from MS Word. Special characters such as em-dashes, curly quotes, and other special characters can cause data base failure or black diamonds and garbled text to appear on the library home page. These must be removed immediately.
  4. Click Save. If you click Cancel or browse from the page without clicking "Save" your data will be lost.

Changing news items

  1. From the Table Data page select items you wish to change.
  2. Click Edit selected rows.
  3. Change or add fields as needed.
  4. Click Save. If you click Cancel or browse from the page without clicking "Save" your data will be lost.
